About Britt & Madi

Hi!

I am Britt Wilcox. I am  a model, a client associate for Wells Fargo Financial Advisors, and an avid cook who grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

At 18, I moved to Miami where my modeling career gave me the opportunity to travel to Italy, France, New York and Miami. Knowing that I wanted to do more than model I went to college at the University of Minnesota where I studied nutrition, biology, chemistry, and communications, earning my degree in just 3 years. Upon graduation I began working for Wells Fargo Financial Advisors as a client associate in Laguna Beach, California. I recently just relocated to Minneapolis furthering my financial career.

My true passion is cooking and nutrition. While in Minneapolis I will explore the amazing Nordic food scene here. I will make straightforward whole foods that are readily available. I will share my knowledge of science and nutrition to guide you in making smart food choices that can lift your mood, help you feel energized and keep your weight under control. So I hope you will enjoy!

Hey, I am Madi, Britt’s younger sister. I am the youngest of four. Britt and I have two brothers. We grew up in Minneapolis and we have a very close family. I always loved helping Britt cook in the kitchen, but I will say I have never been as healthy as her! I tend to like chips, chicken wings, burgers and fries.

I am going to keep the Minnesota Vibe alive now that Britt has moved to California. Minneapolis does have a very cool food scene, and I will show my favorite places, as well as recipes that have a Minnesota twist. For example, I will show you how to make salmon fish sticks, and walleye cooked in a cast iron skillet on the grill. Of course there will be foods on sticks in the true Minnesota spirit, however I will not cook with spam!  Also check and see my addition to the yogurt pop recipe already posted ( hint…I remade with strawberries and sugar!!).

Britt will add her two cents worth to some of my recipes, I am sure, to make them healthier, but do what you want! Hope you enjoy!
